Child Struck By Hit-Run Pickup Near South Jersey School

Bellmawr police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred before school on Monday, Oct. 3.

A 9-year-old child was struck near E.M. Burke School just prior to the start of school, Bellmawr police said.

The pickup shown above immediately fled the scene and the child was taken to an area hospital where she was seen and released with minor injuries, police said.

The truck has a broken rear window and a damaged front bumper.
